Alum Creek Marina off Old State Rd north of Polaris is a wonderful choice to go boating, hiking, sailing, fishing, camping, eating or going to the dog park there. The marina was completely rebuilt in 2022-2023 and the facility is absolutely beautiful. There is something to do by yourself, friends, family or a meet up with enthusiast that enjoy the outdoors. The only issue is it’s such a marvelous view of the lake I wished it had a really nice restraunt there. The dog park is a great place to take your dog(s). It’s easy to get to off RTE 23 and orange rd/Shanahan rd or coming straight up north on Old State rd. If you live around the Polaris area it will take you 10-15 minutes to get there. I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to get in touch with nature.
The newly built Marina is amazing. The state did a great job here and people will find out and start using it much more than they do now. Live music on Saturday night is great too
Love the alum creek marina area. I walk in the mornings and sometimes in the evenings. Beautiful views and wild life you can enjoy.

Picturesque setting for boaters and non-boaters alike! Delicious pizzas, hotdogs, and ice cream are available inside the marina to enjoy on the outdoor patio overlooking the water (the music was great too!). A boating/water activities accessories shop and clean restrooms are also available.
We really enjoyed Travis Brown and the Drifters performing live! The atmosphere was terrific for some toe-tapping music. The pizza from the restaurant was pretty tasty as well. A great way to while away a Friday evening.
Pleasant experience. Very busy . The youguys on the dock at the Marina were absolutely fantastic. They actually had personality and helpful. The restaurant was overwhelmed. However, the young girls working the food were working diligently to manage all the customer's needs. I'm not sure about the manager.
The upgrade to this facility is outstanding! Thank you all the staff that does a great job with great attitudes. Keep up the great work!
